Working for S.E.S

March 27 1940

I work for S.E.S. It stands for Safe Evacuation service , every day we make plans to save children from the bombing in world war 2.
Six places in England have been bombed already.

Today was a frustrating day 3 more places got bombed and the train station is surrounded by bombed cities and towns.

We save children from bombs so they have a home in war because they don't want to live in a bombed city so we evacuate them to a safe place. If the children are under the age of 2 the mothers go too. Lots of the safe places have already been bombed so we decided to send them to Newcastle it is the safest place in England.

We need to work together in our divisions I am in the S.E.P division. There are 6 divisions they all have to work together to get the job done.We are finding billets to train so we have people to look after the kids.

The people that work for the  S.E.S team are the train drivers, billets, military and my class.

Kind regards Liam

  1. Wow SES is certainly busy! What does the SEP division stand for and do? How are the villagers taking the news that they need to take billets? Interesting times!
